Together with Matthijs Vermeulen and his own pupils Rudolf Escher and Henk Badings, Willem Pijper was one of the most influential composers for the development of modern music in the Netherlands in the first half of the 20th century.
In one of my threads, a user said he'd long been looking for Pijper's second symphony.
